Sunday night came all too soon-- not prepared for Monday morning already. I always stay up way too late on Sunday nights anyways, making my Monday's hellish and setting a bad tone for the rest of the week. I should really learn some self discipline... ah well.
I have a really hard time getting along with other females. Maybe that's too harsh, I just don't like to get along with other females. We had some people over tonight for the football game, and while I enjoy company, I hate it during football. Because the guys will fire up the grill, bullshit with each other and then shut up once the game kicks in as far as conversation goes. But the chicks want to sit there and have a conversation with me, all the while Tony Romo is making his incredible plays and Terrell Owens is getting penalized for touchdown celebrations. Please, we invited you over for the game, so keep your mouth shut while the GAME is on. It's football and it's network television, there will be commercials and during which time I would love to have a quick conversation with you. While a TJMax commercial is on, not a touchdown play.
Bah, women.
In other musings, I've been trying out Twitter. It's interesting, to say the least. I don't really see the point of it just yet, but I'm just playing around with it right now, maybe it will make more sense later, once I get some 'Followers'. That's what they call your subscribers over there. Randomly interesting.
Math test and General Humanities test on Wednesday. Guess I have some studying to do on Tuesday night. Damn my procrastinating ways.

How 'bout them Cowboys?
Sep. 7th, 2008 | 01:34 pm
Jazzed, jazzed, JAZZED about this afternoon! I'm not usually up before 2 in the afternoon on the weekends, but my Cowboys play today, and I never miss them. Got my pink Romo jersey on and everything. Having a few people, grillin' out, drinking a couple of cold ones. Jazzed I tell ya!
AND, Tom Brady is HURT! How awesome is that!? I wouldn't wish death on the guy, but maybe the Chiefs can pull it out! Ruin another perfect regular season before it even starts for them!
Yeah, I'm a football fanatic too. It's a disease, and I'm not trying to cure it. Thank goodness for fall, cooler weather, and FOOTBALL SEASON!

I am really excited to be starting out here. I was a member of Xanga for nearly six years, and it's become impossible to blog over there. There is a group of about 30 or so bloggers that completely monopolize the blogging community. Less frequent and featured bloggers only comment on the "popular group". Lots of politics going on and I'm just done with that whole scene. It feels good to start fresh.
I'm open to meeting new people and exchanging ideas, ideals, and beliefs. I love to argue civily. Nothing is worse than trying to have a discussion with someone who won't let you get a word in edewise. If you can't criticize me politely, keep your opinion to yourself because I won't grace it with a reply.
I get a lot of grief for being a liberal military spouse. Hey, my husband joined the military, not me. I don't have to love the Bush administration or his policies just because he "controls" my husband's destiny at the moment. I don't oppose the war in Iraq only because I want to keep my husband home either. He loves his job, he loves serving his country, and I support him whole heartedly. I think we have no reason for being there, plain and simple.
I have a problem with the government telling me who I can marry and what I can do with what grows in my uterus. If I wanted a bunch of rich white guys opinion on any facet of my life, I'll ask. Until then, do your job and get the economy back at a respectful level and gas down to a price we can actually afford.
Kick all the illegal immigrants out of the country. If they want in, they can go about it the legal way. I'm not opposed to immigration; we are the melting pot after all. I'm opposed to people sneaking their way in through our borders who have no right to be here. If you want to live here, I have no qualms, but you WILL enter legally, you WILL get a job, you WILL pay taxes, and you will NOT mooch off of society.
See, now there are no surprises, I have made my positions clear!
Has anyone seen the Bowflex commercial featuring the guy who "lost 70 pounds" and "gave all his fat clothes to his fat friends"? I hate that guy. More or less from that one line. As a former heavy person, don't you think he would have more compassion for overweight people? Knowing the struggle of diet and exercise? Trying to find the will power to stay on track and not fall off the wagon into a pile of french fries?
I don't know. Bothers me. Random, I know.
